About Cass Green

My name is Cass Green.

I am a single mom to two daughters, but with a family of many. Through my work co-founding the Mill Creek Community Partnership, as the Director of Outreach and Community Partnerships at People’s Emergency and most recently at New Kensington Community Development Corporation, I have spent my career trying to make Philadelphia a place where all children and families can thrive. My experiences include building out a community connector workforce development program for teens and young adults of color, the Action for Early Learning initiative with Drexel University and I founded the Fine Art Through Our Eyes -  all of these initiatives are rooted in providing safe space, equity and fostering community.

My work has centered around - but is not limited to - fighting for more affordable housing in our communities, increasing access to quality public education, uplifting community members and providing job access and training, and creating spaces for art, collaboration and growth.

I am running for State Representative in the new 10th district to bring my experiences, grit and grind to the table alongside all those who are fighting for real change in our communities.

But I can’t do it alone. As none of my work has been about me, so too is this campaign about us building a better future together. As Philadelphia grows so too should our collective power. Let’s fight together to win.
